Audit Services RFP

The Council of the City of New Orleans is soliciting proposals from accounting/auditing firms to provide auditing services to the City as members of a consortium of auditors. The firm(s) selected pursuant to this RFP will participate in conducting the audits of FY 2015 and in the audits of the ensuing four fiscal years, assuming mutual satisfaction. The Council is interested reducing costs, and increasing efficiencies where possible in the executions of the City's audits.


Communications Consultant RFP

The New Orleans City Council seeks proposals from marketing, public relations and/or communications professionals to assist the City Council as a whole and its various committees in informing the press and general public of the Council's work in an effective, timely and concise manner. The contractor selected will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy that should include, but may not be limited to, marketing, public relations, social media, and image and position management. The contractor may provide assistance to individual Councilmembers on issues or projects, as needed and as resources allow, so long as the assistance is distributed among the individual Councilmembers in a more or less equal manner. A contract for one year is anticipated; assuming mutual satisfaction, the contract may be renewed for consecutive one year calendar periods for up to five years total.


Public, Educational and Government ("PEG") Access Manager RFQ

Pursuant to the provisions of the Council of the City of New Orleans Ordinance No. 26,304 M.C.S. dated February 26, 2015, which amended the Cox Communications Louisiana, L.L.C. cable franchise, the Council is issuing this RFQ to enter into a contract for a Community Access Group to act as the exclusive manager of PEG Access Channels on the Cox Cable System. As it pertains to the Government component of PEG Access, this includes the live streaming and archiving for later access of meetings of the City Council, Council Committees, City of New Orleans Boards and Commissions, and other civic meetings and events as necessary.


Cable, Telecommunications and Technology Attorney Advisor and Technical Advisor RFQ

Pursuant to the provisions of the Council of the City of New Orleans Motion M-15-137 dated April 9, 2015, regarding the need for a Cable, Telecommunications and Technology technical advisor and a Cable, Telecommunications and Technology attorney advisor to advise, assist, and further as it pertains to the attorney advisor, to represent the Council in accordance with paragraph 1 of Rule 45 of the Code of the Council of the City of New Orleans, the City Council is seeking Statements of Qualifications from qualified professionals, to perform such work.

The Attorney Advisor will provide advice to and representation of the City Council and its Utility, Cable, Telecommunications and Technology Committee regarding matters associated with telecommunications franchise acts incorporated in the City Code, including the establishment of or amendments to franchises, as well as audit or compliance issues regarding existing franchises. In addition, the Attorney Advisor will provide advice and representation pertaining to cable franchise and public, educational and government access television issues, as well as miscellaneous issues associated with the Council's implementation of technology and its awarding of grant funds.

The Technical Advisor will provide consulting services in furtherance of Council implementation of technology to enhance its work processes. In addition, the Technical Advisor will consult on policy regarding the Council's governance or implementation of technology, as well as policy pertaining to telecommunications or cable franchises and public, educational and government access television.


Utilities Regulatory Accountant Consultant RFQ

Pursuant to the provisions of the Council of the City of New Orleans Motion M-15-135 dated April 9, 2015, regarding the need for technical utility consultants to advise and represent the Council on electric and gas utility matters and in accordance with paragraph 1 of Rule 45 of the Code of the Council of the City of New Orleans, the City Council is seeking Statements of Qualifications from a qualified technical accounting individual professional or single firm, to perform such work. Joint proposals by multiple firms are not being sought.
