Biography
Shelley Midura formerly served as District "A" Councilmember from 2006 to 2010. Midura worked overseas and in Washington, D.C. as a diplomat for more than ten years. She also assisted in founding and opening the International School of Louisiana (ISL), was designated as a member of the "Power Generation," and served on the Board of Directors of the Council of International Visitors.
Councilmember Midura served as Chair of the Governmental Affairs, Special Committee on Mental Health and Utility Committees, and as a Member of the Competitive Selection, Criminal Justice, Education, Election Code and Reapportionment, Public Works, Sanitation and Environmental Enforcement, Special Disaster and Recovery and Women’s Committees.
