Councilmember Guidry joined Mayor Landrieu and other dignitaries in helping break ground for the Mid-City Market retail development that is anticipated to open in 2013 providing economic development opportunities and a premier shopping destination for the city.
 

Councilmember Guidry joined community volunteers and students celebrating the completion of the new KaBOOM! Playground at Langston Hughes Academy in the Desaix neighborhood. This is the 5th KaBOOM! Playground to be built in District "A" since Councilmember Guidry took office.


Councilmember Guidry joined the Zulu Social Aid & Pleasure Club, Bayou Boogaloo, and NORD representatives to announce the 3rd Annual Zulu Anniversary Run To Ride 5K to be held May 21, 2011, during Bayou Boogaloo weekend. Proceeds from the Run will benefit NORD and the Zulu Community Activity Charities.
