In December 2016, Councilman Gray shares District E progress and holiday lunch fare with neighbors at Messina's at the Lakefront.
 

In January 2017, The Greater New Orleans Fair Housing Center awarded to Councilman Gray the 2016 Mondale Brooks Award for Fair Housing Leadership and Civic Participation. The award is named after Vice President Walter Mondale and Massachusetts Senator Ed Brooks.
     


Testifying before State Senate Committee on Hurricane Recovery, Councilman Gray advocates for liberalizing the regulations for use of Road Home monies.
 

Gun Safety legislation, initiated by Councilmembers Gray and Williams, in conjunction with Mayor Landrieu, is signed into law in September 2016. The ordinance requires mandatory reporting of a lost or stolen gun, criminalizes carrying a concealed firearm without permit and makes all NORDC facilities gun-free zones.
     


In anticipation of a match-up when WWE comes to New Orleans in 2018, Councilman Gray and WWE star Roman Reigns do their best.
