Official Statement from District "E" Councilmember Cyndi Nguyen Regarding the Tragic Loss of Two Louisiana Icons

August 6, 2018

District "E" Councilmember
Cyndi Nguyen
NEW ORLEANS- District "E" Councilmember Cyndi Nguyen has issued the following statement following the loss of Kenneth Carter and Paul Beaulieu.

"In the coming days and weeks, we will continue to mourn and reflect on the passing of two local Louisiana legends, Kenneth Carter - who served as one of our first African-American tax assessors in the city and Paul Beaulieu - the broadcast and media journalist who managed WBOK-AM for several years. Both men were strong advocates for the city and demonstrated what it means to be a faithful public servant for the people of New Orleans. As a member of the City Council, we will continue to honor these men by working toward their unified vision of moving New Orleans forward."
