What: Among the agenda items scheduled to be heard at tomorrow's regular City Council meeting:
The Council will consider budget ordinances to adopt operating budgets of revenues and expenditures for the city for the year 2017, to levy ad valorem taxes upon property in the Orleans Parish, and to levy fees on property located in special security and improvement taxing districts.
- The Council will consider the creation of the Mid-City Local Historic District, the Parkview Local Historic District, the Uptown Local Historic District and the Carrollton Local Historic District as proposed by the Historic Preservation Study Committee.
- The Council will consider a resolution recognizing that the City of New Orleans continues to encourage recycling to reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills.
The Council will receive a presentation by the Office of Public Health STD/HIV Program addressing the current pandemic of HIV in New Orleans as well as the 3rd annual NOLA HIV/AIDS Awareness Week and National World Aids Day.
