NEW ORLEANS - The community meeting in Algiers, which was rescheduled for Tuesday, February 7, 2017, has been cancelled.
The community meeting to address recent incidents of crime in Algiers will likely be re-scheduled due to severe weather. Details will be announced at a later date.
Councilmember Ramsey issued the following statement regarding tonight's meeting:
"Due to today's severe weather and tornadoes in the greater New Orleans area, Mayor Landrieu and Superintendent Harrison are unable to attend tonight's community meeting. After consultation with the Algiers Presidents Council, tonight's meeting will be rescheduled.
