New Orleans City Council to Hold Special Meeting on Tuesday, November 7

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans City Council has called a special meeting for Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. The public and members of the media are encouraged to attend and ask questions as the Council addresses representatives of the Sewerage & Water Board (S&WB) regarding ongoing billing issues. Additionally, the Council will provide notice of intent to adopt ad valorem property taxes for the 2018 budget, receive updated information regarding progress on the St. Claude Drainage Project, receive updates from the S&WB on the civil service hiring process, and receive a report on system operations during hurricane season and the post-hurricane season transition plan.

WHO: New Orleans City Council members, appropriate City officials, and Department of Public Works and Sewerage & Water Board representatives. The public and members of the media are encouraged to attend.

WHAT: A special meeting of the New Orleans City Council to receive information and updates from various agencies including the S&WB and provide notice of intent to adopt 2018 budget matters.
